Identify Menu
  Drop down menu used to select specific analysis queries
 
Identify Basin
 

To query basins on the map and view detailed basin information where available;

  1. Select Basins from the drop down menu
  2. Using the cursor, click on the basin of interest on the map interface.
  3. A link for more information will appear in the pop-up. Clicking on the link will show relevant information in a new window.
 
Identify Watersheds
 

To query a watershed for a select point;

  1. Select Watershed from the drop down menu
  2. Using the cursor, click on the watershed of interest on the map interface.
  3. The watershed of interest will be highlighted in red. A link for more information will appear in the pop-up. Clicking on the link will show relevant information in a new window.
 
Identify Soils
 

To query soil data for a select point;

  1. Select Soil from the drop down menu
  2. Using the cursor, click on the soil polygon of interest on the map interface
  3. The soil polygon of interest will be highlighted in red. A link for more information will appear in the pop-up. Clicking on the link will show relevant information in a new window.
 

Identify Stream Path

 

To create a Stream Path for a select point;

  1. Select Stream Path from the drop down menu
  2. Using the cursor, click on the map and the downhill flow path to the closest stream will be calculated (highlighted in blue). The stream that this point drains into will be highlighted in red.
  3. A link for more information about the receiving stream will appear in the pop-up. Clicking on the link will show relevant information in a new window.
 
Identify Catchment Area
 

To create an upstream Catchment Area for a select point;

  1. Select Catchment Area from the drop down menu
  2. Using the cursor, click on the map to create a drain point, and the upstream catchment area for this point will be calculated (i.e. the nearby area that drains to the point) and highlighted in red. NOTE: due to software processing limitations only the immediate catchment area will be highlighted.
